I.Judging Procedure¡G
The judging process will be conducted in two phases
1. Finalist Vote¡G
The nominations and candidate information in each category will undergo a preliminary review based on the judging benchmarks. Those that pass the preliminary preview and receive 2 votes of approval of the attending committee members may join the finalists' pool.
The list of finalists will remain confidential and never published whether they win the award or not.
2. Final Review¡G The final judging committee will convene to review the finalists. The award-winners will be decided by a two-thirds majority vote of the attending committee members and the reason for their award determined.
3. Once confirmed by the judging committee, the award winners will be announced at a press conference held prior to or on the day of the award ceremony.
The "common benchmarks" and "category specific benchmarks" will be used to evaluate the candidates and determine the award winners:
A. Common Benchmarks:
1. Helped to solve problems
2. Enhanced the spirit of compassion and benevolence
3. Helped promote social improvements and progress
B. Category Specific Benchmarks

b. Individual Category

1. Striving to treasuring for life

4. Influence on society
b-2 ¡iCompassion Award¡j¡G
1. Level of long-term engagement to caring for life
2. Level of intensivedevotion made towards caring for life
3. Level of creative contribution made to caring for life
4. Influence on society
A five-point scale is used, with each benchmark given a score of 1~5. The maximum total is 35 points. The candidate with the highest total receives the award. If the total score is the same, the candidate with the higher total in the category-specific benchmarks wins. If the category-specific benchmark total is the same, the winner will be drawing by lots. The judging committee however has the ultimate decision on the winners list.
Where necessary, the judging committee may assign weightings to the judging benchmarks.
¡iSpecial Contribution Award¡j
This award is an honorary award presented to individuals who have made continuous and outstanding international contributions to care for life. The winner will be selected by the organizer at its discretion.
